We are thrilled to announce our active participation during the Amsterdam Drone Week (ADW). AURORA-UAM, together with fellow EU-funded projects AiRMOUR, Flying Forward 2020 and RAPID 2020, will be part of an exciting panel discussion on Tuesday, 21 March, from 16:30 to 17:30 CET.

During our panel, ‘Opportunities and Challenges of UAM in Cities‘, we will have an in-depth discussion about the importance of public acceptance, use cases and the purpose of a governance framework for integrating #UrbanAirMobility in Europe.

In the coming weeks, we will keep you updated on each of our projects’ contributions to this panel and the experts who will take part in the discussion, so don’t forget to check back for more news about our participation during #AmsterdamDroneWeek.

Should you have any questions that you want to be addressed during the panel, please reach out to Wandi Chivaura (AURORA) at wandifadza.chivaura@epf.eu or Renske Martijnse-Hartikka at renske.martijnse-hartikka@forumvirium.fi.

We look forward to seeing you and interacting with you during and after the panel discussion!

About the Panel Discussion:

Title: Opportunities and Challenges of UAM in Cities: Public acceptance, Test/Use cases, and Governance

Description: The panel will discuss the opportunities and challenges of implementing Urban Air Mobility (UAM) in cities. The five participating projects have experience with test/use cases stemming from project-specific research on UAM. When discussing the role of cities, the projects consider that UAM test/use cases must become a mandatory part of the implementation process to find solutions for society through dialogue to better understand and meet its needs. Thus, test/use cases are essential to creating future-proof solutions (as a reference to the theme’s use cases and solutions) that foster trust and acceptance by the wider public. How do you see the role of cities for UAM?
