This May, Antonio Pratelli and Massimiliano Petri, professors at the University of Pisa, presented the Aurora project during the Next Generation Mobility Conference in Torino, Italy.
In their session, they presented and explained the objectives and methodology of the project, describing how UAM can assist emergency services. They also referred to the specificities of the Italian case study.
We have concentrated on a case study of a connection from Piombino to Porto Ferraio, given that the island of Elba does not have a hospital, simulating and experimenting with both use cases within urban areas and the connections between the two. Siemens will carry out a simulation of its IT tool and then we’ll move on to the feasibility study so that, once the project is completed, these services will really come into operation.
