We are excited to announce that we have just launched our new Decision Support Guide in order to advance Urban Air Mobility (UAM) across cities and regions. The new Decision Support Tool is now available on our website, offering valuable insights to stakeholders eager to make their UAM activities resilient.

This Decision Support Tool aims to assist researchers and enthusiasts in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) in selecting the appropriate UAS operational category according to UAS’s Concept of Operations (ConOps). Understanding the appropriate operational category for UAS helps to gain more insights into the requirements of authorizations and certification.

It is important to note that our Decision Support Tool is based on the September 2022 revision of the Easy Access Rules for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (Regulations (EU) 2019/947 and 2019/945). While the tool offers valuable information and suggestions, the final decisions and actions should always be made by users, taking into account their own judgment and circumstances. It should not replace professional advice or expertise.

As part of the AURORA project, we are committed to supporting researchers and enthusiasts in the UAS field. Our decision support questionnaire, an integral component of the tool, assists in selecting the appropriate UAS operational category according to the UAS Concept of Operations (ConOps). Please note that this tool will be actively maintained only until the conclusion of the AURORA project.

We kindly request our audience to consider participating in our Decision Support Questionnaire by providing some basic details. While participation is entirely voluntary, the information you provide will greatly aid us in conducting more effective surveys and furthering the advancement of UAM.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the University of Gent for their invaluable contribution to the development of this Decision Support Tool.
