With the start of the final trimester of the year, the AURORA partners have also kept busy working to publish their findings on technological developments in key journals in Europe.
Therefore, we would like to provide you with an initial overview on interesting publications that our team will soon release.

Our colleague Ivana Semanjski, Ghent University, will publish a book on Smart Urban Mobility Transport Planning in the Age of Big Data and Digital Twins.

Smart Urban Mobility: Transport Planning in the Age of Big Data and Digital Twins explores the data-driven paradigm shift in urban mobility planning and examines how well established practices and strong data analytics efforts can be better aligned to fit transport planning practices and “smart” mobility management needs.

The book provides a comprehensive survey of the major big data and technology resources derived from smart cities research which are collectively poised to transform urban mobility. Chapters highlight the important aspects of each data source affecting applicability, along with the outcomes of smart mobility measures and campaigns.

It will be published in early 2022 and will include a section regarding urban air mobility that references our project.

Moreover, our colleague Ronald Ponguillo Intriago will present a paper entitled ” Analysis of minimal clearance and algorithm selection effect on path planning for autonomous systems“, coauthored by Ronald Ponguillo-Intriago (UGent), Payam Khazaelpour (UGent), Ignacio Querol Pucha “(SEAL), Silvio Semanjski (SEAL), Daniel Ochoa (ESPOL), Sidharta Gautama (UGent), Ivana Semanjski (UGent), at The Tenth International Conference on Data Analytics.
The paper will be available online after the conference.
